One of the Five Pillars

Liturgy

Do this in remembrance of me.

Luke 22:19 · NRSV-CE

About this pillar

The spiritual life of a parish animates its mission. Personal and communal prayer are essential to building up the body of Christ, and at St. Adolphe that life is centred on the Mass, the sacraments, and time spent in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.

The liturgy gives voice to the faith of our community and to our commitment to furthering the Reign of God. When we gather to worship, in French or in English, we are nourished and strengthened to go out and serve, so that the work of ministry can transform the world around us.

Everyone has a place in the liturgy. Lectors, altar servers, musicians, sacristans, and those who prepare the church each week all help our celebrations to be prayerful and welcoming. If you would like to take part, the parish office will gladly point you to the right person.
