Community & Service

We do not worship in isolation. Catholics are a communal people, and church life draws us together in mutual support, activity, celebration, and growth. Community is the human dynamic through which the mission of the Church is embodied and embraced.

The Church is also called to serve the needs of others and to eliminate the causes of injustice. Service includes both charity and justice. Far from being a burden, social ministry is part of what keeps a parish alive, making it truly Catholic and reflecting the Gospel mission.

At St. Adolphe this takes shape through the soup kitchen, the food bank, Development and Peace, the funeral reception team, and the gatherings that bring parishioners and neighbours together throughout the year. There is always room for another pair of hands.
